Children's Ministry

Our Children's Ministries at Arrowsmith are designed for children and families! We offer a variety of programs designed to challenge and train our children to grow as disciples of Jesus through the Word of God for the glory of God.

Our Vision

To provide a nurturing, loving environment where children will learn about the love of Jesus, be equipped with the Word of God, enjoy fellowship with one another and experience their value by interacting with our church family.

Our Values

We value a church family where children and adults enjoy life together and are committed to Jesus Christ and to each other.

We value the gifts and the hearts of those who are committed to serve our children.

We value mentoring through relationship and example by providing opportunities for youth, young adults and more mature family members to minister.

Our Programs*

Nursery - We provide a safe, caring, secure and nurturing environment for babies & toddlers ages 0 - 2. Coordinated by Amanda Salvage.

For children aged 3 – 5 (Pre/K), we offer a creative program that includes stories, crafts, singing and Bible memorization to keep your child engaged in the process of learning more about Jesus. Coordinated by Gloria Boehm.

Grade 1-2 - Coordinated by Tricia Marriott

Grade 3-4 - Coordinated by Jennie Farrell

The third Sunday of each month is "Melody Makers" for children Grades 1-4 in the upper C.E. Building, led by Trish Koning.

Our elementary school classes use material which challenges kids to understand how God is the centre of every Bible story. Through songs, crafts, games and Bible verse memorization, children learn about the attributes of God and are equipped with biblical truth.

*All these programs run during the Sunday Worship service, concurrently with the sermon time.

How You Can Be Involved

We seek to encourage stronger relationships by inviting church family members to share about their life with God, their individual talents and abilities.

Here are some examples of ways you can be involved in our ministries:

Nursery - take turns with other team members to care for our babies & toddlers, volunteer to clean/disinfect the toys on a periodic basis, or donate baby cookies for snack.

Kids Time - prepare the crafts in advance, provide snacks for the children, assist the Kids Time leader on a given Sunday. lead the singing, or tell the story for that day.
