Leland Botzet What we and Obadiah have in common with this is the reality that everyday life here on earth is simply a testing ground, a time of dedication and preparation for the life to come. If we do not humbly and joyfully allow God to be the absolute Lord and Master of our hearts and lives in the here and now, He will not humbly and joyfully be the absolute Lord and Master of our hearts and lives later on. This is what Jesus meant when he said: “I never knew you” to those who have faithfully served him, but who in reality have never humbly and joyfully submitted and surrendered their hearts and lives to him.
