God has designed us to live in relationship with him and fellowship with each other
in order to engage in the Biblical community necessary to the pursuit of Jesus,
our growth in Christ, and the spread of the Gospel for God's glory and our joy.
Our continued prayer is that God would divinely inspire us through His Holy Spirit to deepen our relationships with Him and with one another so that we might "passionately proclaim the glory of God in Christ for the joy of all people".
Shepherd Groups meet regularly for the purpose of unity, support, growth, problem-solving, encouragement, accountability, and prayer.
Shepherd Group Leaders are responsible to fulfill the biblical mission of the church, the local vision and mission Arrowsmith Baptist has adopted for our church, and the biblical servant shepherd role of Grazing (Feeding on the Word of God); Watering (Drinking from the Spirit of God); Traveling (Pursuing the Vision of God); Resting (Experiencing the Peace of God); and Producing (Advancing the Kingdom of God).
A quick look at these responsibilities reminds us that none of us can by ourselves lead the ministries that God has called us to; we need God and we need each other and we need the church to help us fulfill our calling and the calling of the church.
